Our professional, dynamic team is in charge of Supply Chain matters in the heart of Asia.We invite now high caliber talent to apply for Technical Manager (Garment Fitting) to join our rapidly growing sourcing team in Hong Kong. This position supports product development and commercialization with a fast-paced successful team.Responsibilities.
  • Manage and support the implementation of sample review including fit, constructions & workmanship check
  • Knowledgeable in fit approval to support the development of a standardizsed fit process to ensure fit consistencies across all ALDI consumer markets
  • Understand fit issues from a live model or dummy and transfer to pattern correction and a final fit approval according to ALDI defined technical specifications and safety requirements
  • Experience in all fabric construction, such as weaving, knitting, non-woven with fiber & yarn specialties (fabric structure, fluidity, ornamentation, expansion & compression)
  • Establish standardised blocks and grade rules for all categories in textiles
  • Understand body & garment measurements with its grading, including plus sizes
  • Familiar with International sizes (EU, US, UK, AUS)
  • Drive and maintain technical pack accuracy and completeness to enhance product quality
  • Provide technical knowledge on garment construction/finishing and workmanship to our global factories
  • Provide training/communicate with factories in terms of ALDI fit requirement/process to monitor supplier’s performance in Fit
  • Good understanding in care instructions of garment and fabrics
  • Lead a team of Specialists to achieve high level of performance and work efficiency
  • Handle assigned projects and ad-hoc task from Senior Manager Quality
Your Profile.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion & Textile Management / Textile / Clothing or other relevant disciplines
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in a similar position, preferably in sourcing or buying offices, focusing on garment fitting and technical design
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and management skills
  • Proficient in both verbal and written business English; fluency in Mandarin is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and management skills, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • A dedicated team player with excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Well-versed in MS Office applications
