(Post Ref.: 25/30)The School of Graduate Studies (GS) is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University's strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education. The GS is expanding its scope of research and knowledge transfer programmes in promoting multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and development projects related to Policy Studies and Management, Health Studies, International Higher Education, Policy and Management and Urban and Housing Studies. The GS is searching for staff who can support research, teaching and knowledge transfer activities in the following areas:Education Management
Internationalisation and Quality Management in Higher Education
International Higher Education
Public Management and Administration
Public and Social Policy
Research MethodsThe appointees will be mainly responsible for (a) engaging in teaching and learning activities; (b) supporting academic programme coordination and management; (c) organizing research events (e.g., conferences and seminars) and knowledge transfer activities; and (d) contributing to other administrative matters as assigned by the supervisors.General Requirements * Associate Professor of TeachingApplicants should have (i) a PhD degree in the related discipline; (ii) at least five years of relevant experience in teaching; and (iii) track record in academic programme development and/or management. * Assistant Professor of TeachingApplicants should have (i) relevant postgraduate qualifications in the related discipline; and (ii) substantial relevant work experience in programme co-ordination and teaching, preferably at postgraduate level. * Senior LecturerApplicants should have (i) relevant postgraduate qualifications in the related discipline; (ii) substantial relevant experience (normally not less than 8 years), and (iii) experience in course development.For all of the above posts, applicants should have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and presentation skills. Preference will be given to candidates with strong track records in teaching and programme management in the above-mentioned areas. Evidence of contributions to the scholarship of teaching, in the form of teaching-related grants, publications and conference presentations, will be viewed positively. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointees. For the post of Associate Professor of Teaching or Assistant Professor of Teaching, appointments will normally be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years.
