About The ClientMy client is a global entertainment company delivering premium digital content and experiences to millions of users worldwide. As they continue to scale their digital platforms, they are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with strong Node.js expertise to join their core engineering team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a distributed, international team.Role OverviewThis is a backend-focused engineering role where you will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, high-performance services that support the company’s digital products. You’ll work on mission-critical systems that handle large volumes of data and traffic, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js
  • Design and implement scalable microservices and backend components
  • Integrate with internal systems and third-party services
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability of backend systems
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams on deployment and monitoring
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture planning
  • Contribute to backend best practices and engineering standards
Required Skills And Experience
  • 3+ years of backend development experience
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and message queues
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Solid understanding of backend security, authentication, and authorization
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Fluent in Cantonese
