- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive compliance program tailored to investment, insurance, and virtual banking products and services.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the bank's operations, ensuring timely updates to policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to business units on compliance-related matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Design and deliver compliance training programs for staff to enhance awareness of regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Serve as a key point of contact with regulatory authorities, managing inquiries and examinations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, risk management, and operations teams, to ensure alignment and consistency in compliance efforts.
- Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key issues and trends.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of compliance manuals and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of compliance experience within the financial services industry, with a focus on investment, insurance, and/or virtual banking.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant Hong Kong regulations and guidelines related to banking, investment, and insurance products.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English and Cantonese is essential; Mandarin is a plus.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or other relevant qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience in a virtual banking environment.
- Familiarity with technology and digital platforms used in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of data privacy and cybersecurity regulations.
- Preferably have I&I 14 liscense
