- Achieve sales targets by identifying high-value opportunities, maintaining pricing discipline, and driving repeat business under established credit lines.
- Identify prospective clients and opportunities within the bank's target market, develop sales strategies, and create account plans for high-potential clients.
- Understand client needs through consultative selling, develop tailored trade finance solutions, and pitch proposals to secure mandates.
- Work with product teams to develop, improve, or customize trade finance products based on client needs and market trends.
- Ensure facilities are activated, utilized as planned, and continuously monitored for ongoing business opportunities.
- Work closely with Coverage, Product, and Risk Management teams to prepare credit approvals, structure solutions, and drive implementation.
- Maintain adherence to bank compliance frameworks, complete call reports, update pipelines, and track the deal lifecycle.
- Stay updated on trade finance trends, client processes, and product innovations to provide expert guidance to clients and internal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; additional certifications in trade finance are an advantage.
- At least 10-12 years experience with proven track record in trade finance sales, with experience in both Documentary and Open Account trade products like LCs, guarantees, receivables financing, factoring, and structured trade finance.
- Strong understanding of Greater China and Asian trade flows, including participation in other banks' trade programs.
- Ability to engage with multinational corporations and regional conglomerates, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of trade finance products, facility utilization, and cash solutioning.
- Strong consultative selling, credit assessment, deal structuring, and presentation skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Coverage, Product, and Risk Management, to deliver successful outcomes.
