Our plans to expand into the Greater Bay Area (GBA) will also cultivate talent to serve Hong Kong and the wider metropolitan GBA.For more information about the University, please visit .Temporary Research Assistant II (R6811) (S&T) (Ref: 25001W1)We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology:Temporary Research Assistant II (R6811) (S&T) (Ref: 25001W1)Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe appointee will mainly assist the research team in a research project “Integrating Machine Learning and Environmental Modeling for Wind Prediction and Wildfire Simulation” (R6681). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:Providing support in literature review and data analysis;Working with the Principal Investigator / supervisors to prepare report writing; andConducting other research activities as instructed by the Investigators.CandidatesCandidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:A Bachelor's degree or above in Science, Engineering or a related discipline;Basic knowledge of programming (e.g. Python or C++);Good knowledge of machine learning and/or weather prediction is an advantage;Strong sense of responsibility, effective organizational and interpersonal skills; andGood command of English and Chinese.Terms and Conditions for Appointment
