Job Category: Engineering Project - Production PlantJob Description:We are looking for a professional, energetic and innovative engineer to join Generation Engineering Department, Generation Business Group (GBG) of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. Reporting to the Strategic Project Team, the appointees will be active members of a multi-project management team which develops and executes various engineering projects and Project Management Governance System in GBG. Major duties include:

Assist Project Managers in the development, planning and execution of various plant upgrade and refurbishment projects, in Electrical, controls and building services.
Review design submissions, construction schedules, techniques to ensure the technical integrity of project and the contractor's conformity with contract terms and specifications.
Conduct frequent site inspections to monitor progress, safety and quality of works, and collaborate with contractors to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve world class safety, health, environmental and quality standards.
Lead engineering and construction of small-scale projects, supervise contractors' activities, and collaborate with relevant project stakeholders to achieve safe and cost-effective project delivery.
Assist in managing expenditures and compilation of budgets.

Requirements

A recognized university degree in Electrical/Electronics /Building Services Engineering discipline plus at least 3 years relevant working experience.
Basic Knowledge of project management concepts, work planning & execution and cost estimating.
Good understanding of the operation and maintenance practices and processes in the power stations, and conversant with the basic engineering principles behind the various processes of power plant generation are preferred.
Previous exposures in safety, health and environmental requirements pertaining to project works in the generation industry is advantageous.
Hands-on contractual & commercial knowledge associated with contract execution and contractor management.
A pro-active, communicative, flexible and self-driven team player seeking to build a career in CLP.
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Power Point.
