As an Assistant Manager, you will:1. Reinsurance Operations
- Support the negotiation, placement, and renewal of reinsurance treaties.
- Coordinate with brokers and reinsurers to ensure compliance and timely execution.
- Manage reinsurance contracts, including premium calculations, claims recoveries, and settlements.
- Maintain accurate treaty documentation in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyse reinsurance reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with actuarial and finance teams to streamline reporting and data workflows.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath and other relevant tools.
- Automate financial reconciliations, reinsurance settlements, and actuarial data preparation.
- Support the maintenance of actuarial models and financial reporting templates to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5–7 years’ experience in reinsurance, insurance, or financial services is preferred
- Understanding of reinsurance treaty structures and their financial implications
- Proficiency in Excel; VBA, Python, or SQL knowledge is an advantage
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Alteryx and UiPath is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or collaboratively
