Treasury proactively manages daily cashflows of the Group, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet all cash flow and payment obligations and regulatory requirements. Through its investment activities, Treasury ensures that liquidity risk, credit risk, FX risk, market risk and all other associated risk types are within the Group’s approved risk appetite. Treasury also manages the external banking relationships of the Group and day-to-day Treasury settlement operations. In Group strategic initiatives and business projects, Treasury is actively involved to ensure cashflow and liquidity is optimized, and applicable funds are invested prudently.Job Duties:The Treasury Markets is the front-office function within HKEX Treasury. The team is responsible for executing investment activities for HKEX.The Vice President will support the Group Treasurer to perform daily market operations of Treasury. This role will report to the Senior Vice President of Treasury Markets, and support the Treasury Markets to execute the investment plan for optimal returns. The Vice President will execute all trades professionally, adhering to internal limits and controls, and work closely with Treasury Operations and Treasury Control to resolve any issue along the trade life cycle.Job Responsibilities:Work closely with Senior Vice President of Treasury Markets, to formulate investment strategies to enhance and optimize the Treasury investment incomeHelp guiding and coaching the team for effective trade executionEnsure all trade execution complies with the proper internal governance, limits and controlsWork with Treasury Operations and Treasury Control on managing all Treasury related transactions, such as money market, FX and fixed income productsBuild and enhance daily MI on market positioning and relevant risk exposuresEnsure proper maintenance and controls of the static data setup in the Treasury systemEstablish toolkits for regular monitoring and reporting on the HK Treasury PortfolioPerform ad-hoc analysis on credit risk, market risk and liquidity riskLead in projects on internal Treasury system setup and configurationsAssist in managing overall HKEX’s external banking relationship, and internal stakeholdersActively engage in negotiation with banks on legal documentation, across ISDA, GMRA, GMSLA and banking facilitiesActively monitor the global markets and impact of changing macroeconomic trends on HKEX's investmentsJob Requirement:University degree holder in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or related subjectsMinimum 10 years’ experience in Treasury and financial markets front office roleKnowledge and experience in Money Markets, FX, Credit, Rates, Repo and Fixed Income productsStrong knowledge of macroeconomics and central bank operationsFamiliar with banking products across cash management, intraday liquidity and revolving credit facilityFamiliar with settlement infrastructures such as RTGS and SWIFT will be an advantageExperience and track record in front office functionKnowledge of Treasury systems - experience with FIS Quantum system will be an advantageExcellent managerial, analytical, strategic thinking, networking, interpersonal and communication skills, strong risk awareness, pro-active, attentive to details, a good team player, able to work independently and meet tight deadlinesExcellent stakeholder management skills, ability to work with a wide circle of stakeholders across different functions and divisions, driving for collective consensus and resultsHave a wide professional network with counterparty banks in Hong Kong and AsiaStrong command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and MandarinProficient programming language skills will be an advantageHKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
