- Play a central role in expanding the G7 Rates business with a focus on Asia ex-Japan clients, particularly those in China or Korea, leveraging your expertise to drive client engagement and contribute to our revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with global teams across Sales, Trading, Debt Capital Markets, and Research to deliver tailored solutions that meet diverse client needs while upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance.
- Support the strategic build out of the G7 Rates business by engaging with Asia ex-Japan clients, with a preference for those experienced in China or Korea coverage.
- Revitalise relationships with Central Banks, Real Money Insurance firms, and Fast Money accounts to strengthen the franchise’s presence and onboard new institutional clients.
- Identify cross-market opportunities by collaborating effectively with colleagues across MUFG franchise to maximise value for both clients and the MUFG.
- Work alongside the established Flow Products Sales Team to enhance global credit and rates experience for Asia-based clients through seamless cooperation.
- Deliver and grow a sustainable, client-focused, flow-oriented Rates business by consistently prioritising client needs and long-term partnerships.
- Maximise profitability by leveraging and enhancing the MUFG’s customer franchise through thoughtful engagement and solution-driven sales strategies.
- Partner with Sales, Trading, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), and Research teams globally to deliver products that are precisely aligned with evolving client requirements.
- Cooperate with MUFG affiliate to advance business objectives globally and ensure alignment across all relevant stakeholders.
- Expand the size and diversity of the client base by proactively generating trade ideas and new business proposals tailored to specific institutional needs.
- Promote electronic trading capabilities as required by trading desks while ensuring best execution practices are maintained at all times.
- A university degree in Banking, Finance or a related discipline
- At least six years’ experience covering institutional clients
- Comprehensive working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations
- Expertise in Rates products (particularly US Treasury, USD swaps and Repo)
- Analytical background coupled with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in Mandarin or Korean would be considered an advantage
