
Director, Group Distribution Strategy & Governance

- Support all governance related requirements for the Group and business units (BUs)
- Support the development of a forward-looking & aligned, group-wide distribution governance framework and approach across the Group and BUs
- Be an effective support to GHDSG in ensuring appropriate distribution governance framework and approach is in place
- Provide guidance and coaching to Group teams and BUs, with an aim to improve sales quality and effectiveness
- Drive the establishment of distributor risk monitoring framework and approach, including agents’, agency leaders’ and 3rd party distributors’ risk rating & monitoring, through collaboration with Group teams and BUs
- Drive business quality monitoring including persistency and other key metrics (including early indicators), through collaboration with Group teams and BUs
- Drive and/or support distribution risk and business quality related strategic projects
- Responsible for IRP tracking and monitoring
- Drive other regular and/or ad-hoc tracking and monitoring related to distribution quality, sales effectiveness and distributor risks
- Driven & manage relevant strategic projects focusing on sales quality & risks
- Support compensation approvals across BUs and channels
- Support the review of new M&A and/or distribution transactions
- Support governance document drafting, updating and maintenance
- Provide other distribution governance support
- Participate in Monthly Sales & Proposition Dialogue with BUs and support on relevant Q&A
- Support regular and/or ad-hoc reporting on distribution performance
- Professional qualification in Actuarial Science or related discipline
- Minimum 7 to 8 years of relevant working experience in life insurance industry
- Experience of working with BU distribution teams, channel management of business functions of similar size and complexity, preferably in multiple Asian countries in a fast-moving environment, with constructive working relationships relevant stakeholders
- Excellent quantitative skills and familiarity with insurance, insurance digitisation products and processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work with complex financial and business issues
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas, concepts and results to both technical and non-technical audiences whether written and oral
- Attention to detail and strong business partnering, interpersonal and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated initiatives and commitment, able to work independently and ability to meet tough timelines
- Able to manage multiple requests from various parties and multi task
- Effective command of English, and preferably other languages relevant to FWD markets
- Able to work in an evolving and dynamic environment and resilient to pressure
