Our four core brands – Dorsett Hotels, Dao by Dorsett, d.Collection and Silka Hotels – aim to provide exceptional guest experiences while making positive impacts in our local communities.JOB SUMMARY:The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for the daily procurement of food and beverage items for the hotel, ensuring compliance with the group procurement policy. This role requires a good understanding of sustainable and halal food concepts, excellent supplier relationships, and adherence to ethical business practices.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with food and beverage suppliers. Negotiate the price and contract term.
  • Organize and manage the tendering process for food and beverage items.
  • Act as the point of contact for hotel teams regarding any issues during the ordering process.
  • Fully utilize the procurement system (MBT) during the purchases and approval process.
  • Update price, supplier, and purchase data in the MBT procurement system.
  • Create new product codes and descriptions, obtain quotation, and update unit costs in the system.
  • Conduct supplier prequalification and performance reviews.
  • Support purchasing manager to plan & implement purchasing strategies and handle food and non-food procurement request including sourcing, evaluating procurement costing and quality of supplier for better terms.
PERSON REQUIREMENT:Education Level: Diploma holder or equivalentField of Study: Business, materials management, logistic management, purchasing and supply or related fieldYears of Experience: Minimum 3 yearsArea of Experience: Sizable hotel’s group, Club House or Restaurant Chain.Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, Cantonese and Putonghua (written and spoken).Other Professional Qualifications / Technical Skills / Knowledge required:
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage supply chains.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and halal food standards and practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems, especially MBT.
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and tendering processes.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to ethical business practices.
