
Contract Underwriter (Accident & Health / Underwriting support / 12-month Contract)

- In this role, you will provide support to our underwriting team
- You will assist with the daily administrative and operational tasks such as preparing reports, communicating with agents and brokers to gather relevant information or data to make underwriting decisions
- You will also assist with the development of new products, including system set up and review policy terms and conditions
- You need to work closely with underwriters, agents, brokers and internal teams with effective communication to ensure timely delivery
- Assist in day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Collaborate with agents and brokers to gather the required information and clarify application details
- Prepare underwriting reports and documentation to support underwriting process
- Monitor and review existing policies for renewals and adjustments
- Maintain accurate records and underwriting documentation and ensure timely processing of submissions
- Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting policies and procedures and new products
- Ensure that all underwriting activities are performed in accordance within guidelines, standards, and policies
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that underwriting policies and procedures are followed
- Strong attention to details
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance, preferably within the Accident and Health segment
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other relevant software programs
- Good command of spoken & written English and Chinese (Cantonese a must; Mandarin is preferred)
