OverviewReporting to Legal Counsel, the Associate Legal Counsel of Legal & Compliance Team, will handle all legal, company secretarial and compliance matters, in relation to the business of Fast Retailing in Hong Kong SAR.He/she is expected to work closely with the Legal & Compliance Department in Japan and other regions on global legal and compliance matters, as well as the Information Security team in Hong Kong, Japan and other regions on information security matters.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify legal risks, and provide practical and low risk legal solutionsWork proactively with different departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulationsPrepare and review contracts and other legal documentationStandardize, update and maintain contract templatesSupport business teams by negotiating contracts directly with vendors as necessarySupport investigations of suspected misconduct involving employees, and work closely with relevant departments to carry out rectification measuresEducate employees on compliance matters to strengthen their legal and compliance mindsetKey RequirementsQualified lawyer with a valid practicing certificate in Hong Kong SARMinimum 3 years post-qualification experience, prior in-house experience would be a plus (but not strictly required)Experience working in retail sector with strong drafting and negotiation skills is preferableAbility to work independently and as a team playerAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within short deadlines and under time pressureHigh flexibility and able to respond and adapt to changing circumstances and expectationsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyPositive attitude, detail-minded with a willingness to learnProficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) (written and spoken) is essential, fluency in Japanese a plus
